Bill Melton

Musician, Singer, Songwriter

Bill Melton Mandolin PhotoBill Melton is a singer songwriter who is continuing on a musical tradition that has been in his family for over five generations. Bill is a multi-instrumentalist who has literally performed from the muddy banks of the Mississippi to the peaks of the Colorado Rockies. He has performed twice at the Iowa Governor's mansion, as well as the Iowa State Fair, Sec Taylor Stadium, various county fairs and festivals, live radio shows, and numerous clubs and private functions.

Bill is on the roster of the Des Moines Metro Arts as well as the touring roster of the Iowa Arts Council.

Bill utilizes his skills on guitar, mandolin, harmonica, violin, and banjo to meet the needs of each event. Whether you are looking for Bill with his back-up band, or just him performing solo with his harmonica and guitar, he will design a performance for any event large or small.

Bill sings and writes about things he sees, finding inspiration in everyday life. His CD of original songs "All I Can Say" reflects his life in Iowa.

Service is the rent we pay for being. It is the very purpose of life, and not something you do in your spare time.
